Ashraful, a masterful century.
Chasing 521, that innings was made of rock solid balls. We doff our hat to you sir.
Sakib’s wants to make love to this pitch, a 5fer when he bowled and now it looks like he’s going to start building his family a home in the middle.
Murali’s bowled 5000 overs, at least, but [...]

Sri Lanka - par for the course
Needed to push the lead past 500. Done.
Needed to pick up at least 5 wickets for Mahela to feel like he made a good declaration. Done.
Mahela snoozed his way to 166 and Dilshan helped him self to a 40 knowing he should be dropped from the test team.
Murali helped [...]

16 years, Since Australia lost a home series
10 years, Since Australia have lost a test at the G.
38 years, Since SA won a series against Australia.
Never, number of times SA have beaten Aus in a series home or away since being reinstated.
2, number of times Ricky Ponting has done the unthinkable as Captain, lost the [...]

Australia
Has a lead of 160 right now. If they can get this close to 200 or beyond we could be in for a rare treat.
Pontings dismissal a few overs ago was MASSIVE, hence me typing it in caps.
Everything depends on Johnson, Hauritz and Siddle to eek out as many run as possible.
With around 15 overs [...]

Sri Lanka- now batting like they mean it
After negotiating the new ball, the openers once again showed their weakness against straight balls.
You could have driven a rickshaw full Arjuna’s through the gap Vandort managed.
But as is often the case, Sri Lanka proved that you only need one partnership of any real value to put the [...]

Tilan is a smart guy.
When he started his career he was an off spinner who batted a bit. Then Murali came along and he realised he was never going to get into the team.
So he needed to find another route and went about dusting off his bat from the kit bag.
Tilan Samaraweera is not the [...]

Sri Lanka- remembered they are better than Bangladesh.
Came out swinging and caught the Bangladeshi’s with their pants down.
Tilan Samaraweera, who usually doesn’t grab too many headlines was scorching as he has been all year. Missed out the century but he did the job, Mahela and the top order please take note.
We think it has something [...]

That’s right folks. Sri Lanka WILL tour Pakistan in January.
This was fast becoming another one of those ‘will it, wont it’ tours after Arjuna was stung by bee and had to sit out from the interim committee.
All is well again though, as the President proved he is man with way too much time on his [...]

Ya, take the light you bloody fucken useless batsmen.
What an incredibly ludicrous start to the series by the Sri Lankans.
Sri Lanka- lacks the ability to fucken bat.
The day started with Sri Lanka missing straight balls, the day went on with missing more straight balls and the day ended with a shot that was so fucken [...]
