Its true, we have been rather quiet of late. And we know you have missed us. The couple or so hits we get daily is a testament to this.
We are moved to use that ageless line ‘life has fucked me over’. The use of the past tense might indicate that the said fucking is over, [...]

As an Englishman I should try and extol the positives in what was another convincing victory for England against the Windies on Sunday, this time in the one day form of the game.
Stuart Broad utilized his tall stature to get pace and bounce, but his increasing maturity as bowler was shown by the high level [...]

This is undoubtedly the single biggest event in any Sri Lankans life. The WC win was something special. It brought the divided Island together for a brief period of time. But today we are no longer divided. At least not geographically.
Of course the government could have easily arranged a cricket match and a beer afterwards [...]

I like Chris Gayle. He is what every WI cricketer should be. Unflustered, cool and walking around with a swagger only players from the WI can pull off.
He is an uncompromising player too. Whether its Test Cricket, ODIs or 2020 cricket, if the ball is there to be hit he will murder it. He loves [...]

Not 48 hours. According to Wing Commander Strauss.
The new English captain, said of Chris Gayle’s arrival only 2 days prior to the 1st test from the IPL, as being ‘not on’ and that he wouldn’t want his players arriving as late as that.
Of course Strauss had nothing to worry about given that Flintoff, Peitersen and [...]

Ok I’m sorry but I had to get all the Onion-related puns out of the way before we move on, at least it kept the tabloid hacks busy for a few minutes. As did rumours that Phil Mustard and Ryan Sidebottom will join forces with Onions in an amusingly titled surname XI.
Puns aside, a victory [...]

Yes that’s right our man MVs been at it again. Scoring runs befitting his form over the last few years, he has a strung up an impressive set of scores. They are as follows, in chronological order of course.
5 v Worcester
5 v Gloucester
10 v Surrey
16 v Warwicks
That 5 against Worcester was on the day after [...]

Fortunately this time out is not sponsored by anyone. So we don’t have to talk about DLF Maximums and Citi moments of horseshit and what not.
SApel has reached its half way point. Most teams have played their first round of group matches and I thought it would be a good time to check back on [...]

This is a Video that has been sent out to bloggers and the like, apparently by the ECB, to get the masses enthused about the Twenty20 WC.
Its an interesting clip and we like it.
Monkeying around at the Cricket-We think it describes 2020 cricket exceptionally well.
Don’t you?
PS- Giles Clarke is NOT one of those Gorillas. True [...]
