It’s hard to watch.
It’s pretty gruesome. The kiwis were always going to struggle on this tour. But even I didn’t think there would be such a massive gulf between the two sides.
In the 9 days of cricket we have had so far, the Kiwis have never looked like they were in front or the business [...]

Sri Lanka.
Wow.
That just redefined snails pace. In this age of 400 in a day SL crawled, rolled (slowly) to less than 270.
Sure the Kiwis bowled well but by god, you are a better man than us if you didn’t get in some nice microsleeps through the day.
Mahela 79 at 37.That was so slow that Tilan [...]

Let’s hope not. Can the Kiwis break the cycle. Would they be able to take the game to the last session on day 5. And manage a draw. Or dare we say even better.
If they do it would be very interesting. We have thought of a few other ways that this test could be made [...]

Well Done England. Well done indeed.
Its been a crazy summer. My first hand experience in living in one of the Ashes countries as it were. I don’t know if its just me or not but the Ashes loss doesn’t seem to be a huge deal here in Australia or maybe Im not watching the right [...]

New Zealand
Couldn’t have asked for a better start. But by lunch Dilshan had taken the initiative away from them.
As predicted it was the Kiwi fastmen who caused strife throughout the day. They just didnt bowl full enough to worry the SL batsmen. They did bowl well but just the wrong length.
Vettori and Patel. Useless.
Looking down [...]

Our good friends at sportsfreak tell us how it is. Or rather why SL will lo0se.
“1. Sri Lanka complacency.
2. Dilshan opening.
What’s that about then? Taking your in form down the order dasher, and promote him to open in a test? How very New Zealand.
3. Sri Lanka complacency.
4. It might rain.
Well, it might.
5. Ross Taylor has [...]

Jacob Oram
He’s big. But he’s soft. And you already knew that. If he survives an over from Murali we would be pleasantly surprised.
Jacob just seems lazy. He’s built like Freddie but plays like a pussy. It must be really annoying to be a Kiwi supporter when such a huge man fails so often.
The somber, rough [...]

There are unsubstantiated reports that the guy bowling to young Krishna is Mitchel Johnson.

Sri Lanka have enlisted the help of a yet unknown bunch of shoolboys to help them nullify the threat the NZ top order pose for their bowlers.
The boys, still playing under-17s cricket for their schools, were rounded up over the weekend and brought to the SLC headquarters.
SL coach Trevor Bayliss and SLC have enlisted the [...]
